In November 2025, Morocco hosted the 93rd INTERPOL General Assembly. We have previously examined the Assembly’s agenda, closely analysed the strengthening of cooperation between Morocco and China and detailed how the event opened with a commitment to enhance international cooperation.

It has now been announced that Hong Kong is set to host the 94th INTERPOL General Assembly in 2026.
This will be the first time that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Regime (“HKSAR”) has hosted the INTERPOL General Assembly, and the third time the Assembly will be hosted in China.
Hong Kong, as a sub-bureau under China, has played an active and prominent role within INTERPOL. Hosting the General Assembly is being treated as a top priority, with preparations reportedly already underway.
“The HKPF is maintaining close communication with INTERPOL and China’s National Central Bureau to ensure smooth hosting of the 2026 General Assembly”, said Mr Chow Yat-ming, the HKSAR’s Commissioner of Police. He added that he hopes delegates attending the event will appreciate Hong Kong’s vitality, friendly spirit and rich culinary culture during their stay.
“We are determined to ensure every delegation has an unforgettable experience from the moment they arrive at Hong Kong International Airport”, he said.
