CASE EXAMPLES

• Successfully representing an UHNW client in defeating an immigration exclusion order. This case led directly to the creation of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) – a specialist tribunal dedicated to hearing cases involving national security issues.
• Successfully representing a growing number of HNW and UHNW clients from CIS countries in complex political asylum claims, in conjunction with defending corresponding extradition requests and preparing requests for deletion of INTERPOL Red Notices.
• Representing HNW and UHNW Middle-Eastern clients facing parallel extradition and UK High Court litigation proceedings (sometimes with worldwide freezing orders in place). In one case, we acted in an exceptional ex parte application to withhold disclosure on the basis that disclosure of materials could prejudice an asylum claim.
• Representing HNW and UHNW clients from a number of jurisdictions and assisting them in acquiring political asylum and/or defeating extradition whilst based in European or Middle-Eastern countries.
