Alfred Gherson

Alfred joined Gherson in 2020 and has developed a specialisation in complex and politically driven international protection claims.

Alfred excels in high-pressured situations, making him perfectly suited to complex litigation and juggling high volumes of information and competing priorities. He took the lead in the firm’s most complex asylum appeals in 2024 and received high praise from Senior Counsel and other solicitors for his case management, the quality of work and unwavering commitment to his clients.

Alfred plays a pivotal role in some of the firm’s most difficult and complex cases, under the supervision of Roger Gherson and Charles Burnett, and can be depended upon to get the job done to a high standard. Alfred also has a strong interest in identifying and developing the next generation of talent, and is adept at supervising more junior colleagues to maximise teamwork and productivity. He is also in charge of managing much of the International Protection team’s recruitment.
