How Do I Score Points For English Language As A Skilled Worker Under The Points-based System?

In order to qualify for a Skilled Worker visa under the Points-Based System, the applicant must show a certain level of English language.

The minimum requirement is at least B1 level (intermediate) on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which should be demonstrated in all four components – reading, writing, speaking and listening.

The application can meet the requirement through the following options:

• Nationality
• Through a previous grant of leave
• Academic qualification
• English language A-Level
• By taking a secure English Language test
• Requirements for skilled professions

The Skilled Worker visa can be issued for up to 5 years and can be extended indefinitely, as long as the applicant meets the eligibility requirements at the time of extending.
