Paralegal
International Protection

Neve joined Gherson in September 2025 as a Paralegal in the International Protection team, having previously completed an internship with the team in 2024. She works closely with Charles Burnett and Alfred Gherson on complex and high-profile cases spanning international protection, asylum and human rights matters.

Neve holds a BA Hons (Cantab.) in Law from the University of Cambridge, which included a year of study at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Her academic research focused on caste and international law, international refugee law and political psychology. Her education background across Singapore, the UK and the Netherlands has given her a strong understanding of political, cultural and legal contexts underpinning international protection claims.

Prior to joining Gherson, Neve gained experience with NGOs and law firms in the United States, Singapore and the UK, working on matters relating to capital punishment, migrant worker rights, criminal justice reform and pro bono assistance. She also undertook judicial marshalling at the Royal Courts of Justice and completed an internship with the United Nations CEDAW Committee under the Delegate of Nigeria.

At Gherson, Neve aims to specialise in complex and high-value asylum and human rights cases.
