UK Visa Application Fees 2024

27 Feb 2024, 24 mins ago

Along with numerous changes to the Immigration Rules in 2023 and 2024, the UK visa application fees are increasing across most visa categories.

If you are looking to apply for a visa to enter the UK, or already hold a visa that is due for renewal, the Home Office application fees are an integral part of your application. The amount payable for your application will depend on the type of visa you are applying for, the duration of the visa and any additional services that may be available for purchase, such as a priority service fee.

In light of the recent changes to the visa application fees, applicants must be mindful of the increased costs and whether they apply to them. The majority of the visa application fees have increased since 4 October 2023, with a rise of approximately 15% for family visas, 20% for settlement and citizenship applications and 35% for student visas.

The Home Office has published an updated list of immigration and nationality fees as of 31 January 2024. To see the full list of the current fees, please refer to the Home Office published policy paper which can be found here.
