Tech Nation Acquired by Founders Forum Group: How Will It Impact Global Talent Applications?

May 09 2023

Tech Nation, a UK network for ambitious tech entrepreneurs, has recently become part of the Founders Forum Group.

Background

Tech Nation is a UK network for tech entrepreneurs and an official endorsing body for Global Talent visa applications in the digital technology sector. It has played a pivotal role in creating a thriving tech scene in the UK by facilitating visa applications for Global Talent tech applicants.

Earlier this year, Tech Nation declared that it would cease operations due to the withdrawal of crucial funding by the UK government. However, Tech Nation has recently announced that it became part of the Founders Forum Group and will continue its operations.

What does it mean for Global Talent visa applicants?

Following the acquisition, Tech Nation has announced that it will continue to process Global Talent visas for the Home Office until a new endorsing body can take over the operation. As an applicant, you can still use their website to continue or start a new application for endorsement.

Future of the Global Tech Talent

It is still being determined who will fill Tech Nation’s place as an endorsing body, but given that the government seems to have awarded funding to Barclays Eagle Labs, we presume they will become the new endorsing body for Global Talent visa applications in the tech sector.
