Yes. You can work in the UK on a Spouse visa. Spouse visa holders have a full right to work in the UK, and therefore, if you are in the UK on a Spouse visa, you can work without restrictions – you do not have to notify the Home Office when you change jobs or undertake any employment or self-employment in the UK.
Unlike other types of visas such as Skilled Worker or Student visa, Spouse visa is based on the applicant’s family relationship with their partner. As long as your relationship is genuine and you have the intention to permanently reside in the UK with your partner, you can live, study and work in the UK.In most cases, after spending 5 years of continuous residence in the UK, you will qualify for an Indefinite Leave to Remain, and potentially British citizenship.
