Can I continue living in the UK while my endorsement application is pending?

Some visa categories require an endorsement before you can apply for your UK visa.

If you are looking to apply for a Global Talent or Innovator Founder visa, you will first need to apply for an endorsement from an approved body. The type of endorsing body that you need to apply to will depend on the type of visa route you are following and the industry that you work in.

For example, if you are applying for a Global Talent visa, you can seek endorsement in a variety of fields, including Arts and Culture, Digital Technology and Engineering.

However, it is important to keep in mind that an application for endorsement is not an immigration application; therefore, it will not extend your current leave in the UK. Consequently, it is essential that you provision for sufficient time to prepare your endorsement application and receive a decision on it before your current visa expires.

Applications for endorsement may take several weeks to be decided; though an expedited service may be available in some fields. If you are still unsure how an endorsement application affects your immigration status, do not hesitate to reach out to a member of our general inbound immigration team, and we will be happy to assist.
