Events

Are you ready for the new corporate offence of Failure to Prevent Fraud?

Join us for a dynamic roundtable to share experiences as organisations prepare for the new offence taking effect on 1 September 2025.

Our expert hosts will guide discussion of legal and practical implementation perspectives, and provide insight into what enforcement agencies will look for when prosecuting the offence.

Caroline Black will be outlining the legal provisions of the Act and guidance (including territoriality and application); Charlie Patrick (from FRA) will address the practical implementation of compliance measures; and Thomas Cattee will speak about how enforcement authorities may approach any prosecution for the offence in the future, based on his experience of working at the Serious Fraud Office on other “failure to prevent” cases. We will then open up discussions to the floor.
