Home Office Says Heathrow Must Dedicate A Terminal To ‘Red List’ Arrivals

Despite travel restrictions, London Heathrow Airport is operating on a high-volume basis, which means 8,000-10,000 passengers are arriving at the airport every day. Due to this, and the emergence of new strains of COVID-19, the Government are urging for passengers who arrive from countries on the ‘red list’ to be confined to the same terminal. The concerns are that Heathrow is quickly becoming a “breeding ground” for infection.

UKVI Introduce App For In-Country Applications For Replacement BRP and BRC

On 23 April 2021, the UK Visa and Citizenship Application Service (UKVCAS) introduced the Identification Verification (IDV) application, which can be used by those applying for replacement Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) or Biometric Residence Cards (BRCs). It is thought this implementation has been brought about as a result of an increase in this type of application and is an attempt to streamline the service.

Domestic worker visa immigration. Government updates

In this blog we look at the options available under the current Immigration Rules for domestic workers who wish to travel to the UK with their employers. This visa category is somewhat restricted, whereby domestic workers can only travel to the UK on a short-term basis (up to 6 months) and this can pose issues for employers who wish to return to the UK on a more permanent basis.
