In late March 2012 Gherson represented a citizen of Tanzania in a successful appeal to the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) against the entry clearance officer (ECO), Nairobi. In January 2012 Gherson represented a citizen of the Russian Federation in a successful appeal to the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) against the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO), Moscow. The appellant had appealed against the decision of the ECO to refuse her a visa to visit the UK in February 2011.
