For those wishing to apply for a Global Talent Visa on the basis of their achievements within the Film and Television industry, the first stage will be to obtain endorsement from the Arts Council England.
The specific body that will consider the endorsement application is the Producers’ Alliance for Cinema and Television (“PACT”).
Gherson’s General Immigration Team has recently been in contact with PACT to seek more recognition for the up-and-coming Chinese film industry. As a result of our efforts, we are pleased to announce that PACT has added four Chinese Film Awards to its Notable Industry Recognitions List. This exhaustive list is the basis on which PACT assess endorsement applications.
The Chinese Film Awards that have been added to the list are:
- Golden Rooster Festival
- Hundred Flowers Awards
- Golden Horse Awards
- Hainan Island International Film Festival
The full Notable Industry Recognitions List can be viewed here and PACT’s specific endorsement criteria here. Our recently published blog providing an overview of the Global Talent Visa category can also be found here
