Neil Williams

Neil has recently joined Gherson, and brings with him a wealth of experience in white collar law, gained since he qualified in 2001.  He is a specialist in global bribery and corruption cases, and has been involved in the most notable and complicated ongoing business crime investigations. His experience has included the largest conservation-related tax frauds, allegations of fraud on a huge scale involving the energy sector and financial services, multinational and worldwide white-collar crime investigations and accusations of corruption in public office.

Neil has been recognised for running the most complex, high-profile and large-scale business crime cases involving the world’s major companies and organisations; including the first UK cases to involve deferred prosecution agreements and SFO Bribery Act prosecutions.   He has a wide range of experience in Proceeds of Crime matters.  He also conducts internal investigations for clients, and advises and represents those who wish to bring private prosecutions.

With long standing recognition for his experience in legal guides such as Legal 500, he has also been individually ranked for a number of years in Chambers and Partners UK Guide.  He has been highlighted for his conscientious, well-organised approach, and his “real ability to marshal voluminous evidence’’ together with his rapport with clients.
