Charles qualified in 2014, specialising in private and public law cases against the State, including human rights and judicial review claims and inquests. He then joined the team at Gherson in 2015, and is currently working on around 30 active cases. The vast majority of Charles’ caseload involves applications and appeals based on human rights and/or refugee Convention grounds.
Charles specialises in a range of complex and challenging immigration applications and litigation cases. His casework includes, among other areas, complex applications for international protection in the UK, applications for leave to remain and appeals on human rights and/or refugee convention grounds, family reunion, challenges to deportation and applications for judicial review against Home Office decisions. He deals with cases involving a wide range of complex issues, including international law, refugee law and the European Convention on human rights.
