Alina joined Gherson in 2006 and initially was working on complex asylum cases, appeals heard at the Immigration Tribunal and human rights cases taken to the European Court of Human Rights.
She then moved to General Immigration Team and has experience with a wide range of immigration matters such as Tier 1 and 4 of the Points-Based system, applications under EEA free movement legislation and Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules. She has worked on the applications for British Nationality, including complex naturalisation applications. She holds a Masters in Law from Kiev State University and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the BPP Law School in London. She also completed an LPC course at the BPP Law School with distinction. Alina speaks Russian and Ukrainian.
