Vinok joined the International Protection Team as a Paralegal in December 2024.
With a background in law and an LLM in International Law and Globalisation, Vinok has developed a strong focus and interest on international legal systems and human rights advocacy. During his studies he developed a strong passion for International Human Rights Law, Public International Law, Transnational Criminal Justice, and Global and European responses to terrorism.
During his undergraduate studies, Vinok interned with the Crown Prosecution Service, where he developed a practical understanding of the UK’s prosecution system.
Vinok began his legal career as a paralegal at another well known firm, where he gained experience in UK immigration law, with a particular focus on asylum matters. He worked closely with individuals fleeing persecution from various geographic locations and preparing claims for the Home Office and Tribunals. During this time he familiarised himself with the Immigration Rules, Practices and Procedures relevant to such works. His work also included broader immigration matters, including Sponsor Licences, Discretionary Leave, Modern Slavery claims, Deportation, Bail, and Prison Transfers. Additionally, he supported solicitors on criminal law and litigation matters, further diversifying his skill set.
He later advanced his career by joining a corporate firm as a consultant specialising in German immigration law, allowing him to expand his knowledge of international immigration systems and standards.
Over the years, Vinok has successfully assisted clients in securing status in the UK under human rights grounds and humanitarian protection and continues to further develop understanding of the law within the international community.
