Biography

Pujita holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with a focus on Transnational Law Pathway from King’s College London. During her time at King’s, she actively participated in the Protea Project, providing vital assistance to vulnerable foreign national women facing immigration issues, particularly deportation and human trafficking. Prior to her LLM, Pujita completed her Bar Vocational Studies (BVS) at City, University of London. She was then called to the Bar of England and Wales in March 2022. Notably, Pujita authored a published paper titled ‘The response of the Criminal Justice System to the issue of Honour Crimes in the United Kingdom’, earning her the Best Diverse Piece Award sponsored by Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner. Pujita’s academic journey began at the University of Westminster, where she earned her LLB Law Honours degree with First Class Honours. In addition to her academic pursuits, Pujita spent her summer holidays during her undergraduate law degree volunteering as a primary school teacher in Bali with International Volunteer HQ, demonstrating her commitment to community service and education. Prior to joining Gherson, Pujita worked in a central London law firm as an immigration paralegal. Since joining Gherson in March 2024, Pujita has worked in the International Protection Team, gaining a wealth of experience in sanctions and extradition matters.
