She has over eight years of experience over a broad spectrum of immigration work, specialising in cases involving discretionary elements. Her experience extends to advising clients on the impact of civil, criminal and extradition proceedings on immigration applications. Charlotte’s clients include international families, family offices, creatives in the global entertainment industry, politically prominent figures, entrepreneurs and businesspeople.Charlotte advises on applications for international protection, helping individuals obtain protection in some of the most difficult and atypical cases. She has acted for clients in complex asylum cases both in the UK and internationally. Charlotte has experience in advising clients on extradition requests, exclusion orders, travel bans, petitions to the United Nations and applications to the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files. Her experience has touched on a wide range of jurisdictions, including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Mexico and the US.

  • Represented a prominent ‘first family’ of a political dynasty in respect of a claim for asylum in the UK.
  • Represented an individual subject to extradition proceedings in respect of both the extradition request and a claim for international protection in the UK.
  • Assisted a former Prime Minister of Pakistan in petitions to the UN regarding arbitrary detention in Pakistan, including the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention.
  • Represented a former foreign government minister in respect of a claim for nationality involving politically motivated criminal convictions.
  • A successful application for a visitor visa to the UK involving a 10-year UK immigration ban.
