Here we provide an overview of an employer’s obligations along with looking at retrospective checks and Right to Work checks for EU, EEA and Swiss nationals. In light of COVID-19, amendments were made to the ‘Right to Work’ requirements and we review the changes that were implemented and what can be expected moving forwards.

Update: Errors on Overseas Visitors’ Records Office (OVRO) New Online Registration Portal

Individuals who are required to register with the police as part of the conditions attached to their UK visa may be required to use the OVRO portal if they live within the Metropolitan Police area. Following the implementation of the new OVRO online portal on 7 April 2021, some users have experienced technical issues and in light of this, OVRO have provided some tips on how to use the portal until the software is repaired.
