Civil Litigation Solicitor – Civil/Commercial Disputes

Gherson Solicitors is currently seeking to recruit a Civil Litigation Solicitor or employed barrister with around 2–5 years of post-qualification experience to join our expanding Dispute Resolution Team, which focuses on complex and high-value litigation and arbitration, including cases with a sanctions-related component.
We would like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate the following:
- 2-5 years of post-qualification experience in a mid/top-market (London or regional) or City disputes resolution practice (or practices), focusing predominantly or solely on civil matters concerning high-value and/ or complex corporate, commercial and financial disputes in the Senior Courts/ UKSC or in international arbitral fora.
- A strong grasp of the CPR and the Commercial Court Guide, as well as the CE-File system.
- A proven track record of working on complex civil litigation across their career to date.
- An ability to handle their own caseload (with supervision) for less complex cases, as well as assist on larger matters.
The ideal candidate would also have experience in some of the following:
- Civil fraud.
- Cross-border disputes and/ or the conflict of laws.
- Sanctions and white-collar crime/ investigations matters.
- Conducting litigation in the Central London County Court.
- Personal finance/ banking matters for high net worth and/ or ultra-high net worth individuals.
