Civil Litigation Solicitor – Civil/Commercial Disputes

Gherson Solicitors is currently seeking to recruit a Civil Litigation Solicitor or employed barrister with around 7+ years of post-qualification experience to join our expanding Dispute Resolution Team, which focuses on complex and high-value litigation and arbitration, including cases with a sanctions-related component.

We would like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate the following:

• 7+ years of post-qualification experience in a top-market/boutique City disputes resolution practice (or practices), focusing predominantly or solely on civil matters concerning high-value and/ or complex corporate, commercial and financial disputes.
• A strong grasp of the CPR and the Commercial Court Guide, as well as the CE-File system.
• A proven track record of working on complex civil litigation across their career to date.
• An ability to handle their own caseload for less complex cases, as well as assist on larger matters.
• Management of junior team members and ability to progress cases independently.

 

The ideal candidate would also have experience in some of the following:

• Civil fraud.
• Cross-border disputes and/ or the conflict of laws.
• Sanctions and white-collar crime/ investigations matters.
• Matters for high net worth and/ or ultra-high net worth individuals.

• Professional and effective communication with individual and business contacts, with opponents, experts and with the court.

 

The candidate must have an excellent (and demonstrable) drafting ability as well as a true commitment to achieving the very best outcome in some of the most difficult circumstances.
