Young Professionals Scheme ballot to open for Indian National on 28 February 2023

The Home Office has introduced a new visa route called the ‘India Young Professionals Scheme’, which allows qualifying Indian citizens between 18 and 30 years of age to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years.

To be selected for the scheme you need to apply via the online ballot system. The Home Office has confirmed that the ballot will open on 28 February 2023 at 2:30pm India Standard Time and will close at 2:30pm India Standard Time on 2 March 2023.

To be eligible for the ballot, in addition to being an Indian citizen and being aged between 18-30, you must have a university degree at Bachelor’s level or higher and must not have any children under the age of 18 who live with you or who you are financially responsible for.

Entering the ballot is free. The successful entries will be picked at random and if you are chosen, you will be notified by email within 2 weeks of the ballot closing.

If you are unsuccessful in the February ballot, you may decide to enter future ballots, if you meet the requirements. The next ballot is likely to be held in late July 2023.
