On 29 October, the Russian Foreign Ministry sanctioned nine New Zealand nationals, including the Secretary of Defence and his deputies (see press release). On the same day, Russia imposed sanctions on 131 Australian nationals (see press release), including journalists, civil society activists, officers of the Australian Army and Navy and representatives of defence manufacturers.
