Is It Possible To Get A Faster Decision On Your Visa Application Submitted Within The UK?

For a variety of personal or business reasons, many applicants may require urgent decisions on their immigration applications submitted in the UK. In light of this, the Home Office devised the Priority and Super Priority services, available on certain visa routes. Unfortunately, over the past year, the Coronavirus pandemic has resulted in these services being suspended. The Home Office are now striving to reinstate these as quickly as possible.

For some visa routes, this has already become effective and we review here who is currently able to take advantage of the expedited services, along with how quickly a decision may be obtained: https://www.gherson.com/blog/faster-decision-on-visa-application-submitted-in-uk, posted 5 March 2021.

The idea of this new visa category is to allow students to remain in the UK for a period of time after their course finishes, permitting them to look for work in the UK. The new route will open for applications on 1 July 2021.

New Changes To The Immigration Rules Aid The Recruitment Of Workers For The NHS

In light of the ever-growing need for health care professionals in the UK, the Home Office have made further amendments to the Immigration Rules with the aim of making it easier for such professionals to come to the UK. This is even more important following the UK’s departure from the EU, as from 1 January 2021, EU nationals entering the UK are subject to immigration control.
