Immigration for businesses
At Gherson we provide the full package of assistance, advice and training to any UK business looking to sponsor migrant workers or transfer existing employees outside of the EEA to a UK branch of their company.
Our comprehensive range of solutions ensures that businesses meet their employment requirements in full compliance with the latest UK immigration laws and regulations.
Employers wishing to hire non-EEA migrants in the UK are required to sponsor them under Tier 2 of the Points-Based System. All migrants under Tier 2 must be sponsored before submitting an application, and any UK organisation wishing to sponsor a migrant must apply for a sponsor licence. Once the employer is issued with a sponsor licence, they will be able to sponsor non-EEA migrants and assign them certificates of sponsorship in support of their application.
Before applying for a licence, you should check eligibility to be a sponsor. If you are looking to sponsor a migrant and require assistance, please contact us with your details.
There are two main categories under Tier 2 - Tier 2 (General) and Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer). Generally, an employer must undertake the Resident Labour Market Test (RLMT) before sponsoring a migrant under the Tier 2 (General) category.
